one hundred ninety-eight

I've been in a really blue mood, just thinking about the color... My mood is great, still keeping an optimistic outlook (in spite of churches constantly missing my phone calls). I thought that the best way to work in my Blue Mood (hey, Picasso) would be to look at some pictures of bouquets.

I look at delphiniums paired with daisies or roses, delphiniums with green things draping down the person's arms, delphiniums wrapped in tulle, delphiniums left on their long stems, delphiniums nearly scalped and all smashed together... but I kept coming back to the same thing.

I really just love the shades of blue for delphinium, just all by itself. Tried and tied. Round. Simple. Humble. Making a huge color impact. I like these:

I like the loose, comfortable feel of the second one. I definitely want the second one for myself (maybe the other one, smaller for the bridesmaids)... but then do I want ribbon? Or is there some other, more subtle way to tie it? Can't I just magically hold them all together? WHY NOT?
