Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

I'm bummed that I can't be with my mom on Mother's Day, but it's only two months until our flight back to the States (gasps & twisting of the heart)–which means it's less than three months until I see my family.

I hope that the weather is great for the day; that Mom and the other mothers I know–my grandmas and aunts who are reading this–are surrounded by flowers, family & good desserts; that they have a nice, relaxing day. I hope that they feel as loved and appreciated as they are.

Now, as for my absence recently: We have a friend visiting, as you know, and the days are far more jumbled and busy bouncing around town than I'd imagined. That said, normal posting will resume on Thursday. Thanks for your patience & your time spent reading my blog!
