In place of a real post today, I'm celebrating the seven days left of our pre-married life with a few photos that mean a lot to me.
Joe & started dating at the start of my second semester of college. He graduated two years before me, meaning 2 years & 2 summers were long-distance, one of them being me in France. This means that there are large (year-long, nearly) holes in or photo albums.
We've been together for the Christmases, but looking back at pictures has me really excited to spend all of our holidays (and all of our days) together.
our first Spring together, at an Invisible Children event where we slept in cardboard boxes (most of the night, before getting to cold & heading home to get ready for volunteering at an Obama rally...our first activist weekend)
our first Christmas, looking very much like a Christmas card
a few days together over break during our first year of long-distance
& the only time we've been to anything close to a club
my 21st birthday & one of my favorite pictures
my first Cardinals game (Joe made me a fan) this summer,
marking the end of our real long-distance
Joe & I are so excited about the pictures that will come from the next few years–excited to see each other enough to take pictures, excited to capture how obnoxiously happy we are to be together, excited to really teach each other photography (me with my Holga & Nikon, Joe with his fun 35mm), excited to start living instead of counting down to our life.
1 week. Then every day.
